This barn, located on another section of Brent's farm, is equipped with curtained sides. Monitors in the four corners of the barn constantly check the temperature of the barn and the curtains automatically raise or lower depending on the temperature in that part of the barn. In the summer months, the curtains are usually wide open giving the turkeys access to lots of fresh air and sunlight. In the winter, the sides remain closed to protect the birds from the winter weather. Fans also start up automatically, when the weather gets warm, to provide additional air circulation.
